With over 4 million followers on Twitter and probably millions of followers on Instagram too (I was a bit lazy to check since my phone was beyond my reach…okay so I was just lazy to check period), Anna Kendrick voices out her support for the LGBTQ community.

On June 1st when Caitlyn Jenner graced the cover of Vanity Fair, Anna Kendrick tweeted this:
When the Supreme Court of the United States declared marriage equality as the law of the land in the United States last June 26th, she proudly declared that day to be beautiful!
And today after finding out that her favorite brand of jelly beans donated to anti-trans students campaign back in 2013, she spoke her mind and tweeted:

Angel Locsin Supports LGBT Rights
Angel Locsin did. And when she did, she got a firestorm of criticism and hate messages. But she stood her ground.
It’s sad that the Philippines, a country dubbed as one of the most gay-friendly nations actually has a lot of hate for LGBTQ people and our allies when it comes to the topic of equal rights especially marriage equality.
But people like Angel Locsin who is bravely challenging the status quo even with such great risk to her show business career helps us hold on to that hope... Of one day seeing this country embrace equality.
So thank you Angel Locsin.
